Joel and Acting Coach Hallie Todd

Here's a recent photo of Joel Courtney with acting coach Hallie Todd of Hallie Todd Studios. Since 2006, Hallie and her husband Glenn Withrow have coached Joel's older siblings (Chantelle, Caleb, and Josh).

Back in November 2009, Joel decided that he wanted to try acting, just like his older siblings, and Hallie was Joel's very first acting coach.

After working with Joel, Hallie encouraged him to consider seriously pursuing film acting. Hallie is responsible for instilling Joel's love of acting and his desire to go to L.A. in the summer of 2010 and audition for some films. Little did Joel know that he would end up trying out and landing the role of Joe Lamb in Steven Spielber's/JJ Abrams' Super 8.
