Up & Comers announces Joel Courtney and Lucas Till are cast in the Indie film "Sins of Our Youth".
“X-Men” star Lucas Till and “Super 8″‘s Joel Courtney, along with 80s teen icon Ally Sheedy, have been cast in indie teen drama “Sins of Our Youth”, according to Deadline.
Character details are vague, but the film follows four teenage boys who accidentally kill a younger boy while shooting off rifles. When they try to cover up the crime, things get even worse for them. Gary Entin is directing the film from a script by his brother Edmund Entin. Filming is scheduled to begin this week in and around Los Angeles.
Till is currently reprising his role as Havok in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and was last seen bullying Mia Wasikowska in Park Chan-wook’s “Stoker.” While he often shows up on shortlists for high profile roles, he sticks mostly to indies, recently wrapping “The Curse of Downer’s Grove” opposite Bella Heathcote, horror “Random” with Haley Bennett and Ashley Greene and currently filming drama“Strings.” This month he has a supporting role opposite Liam Hemsworth in corporate espionage thriller“Paranoia.”
Since his breakout role in JJ Abrams’ “Super 8,” Courtney has wrapped shooting on a quartet of indies,“The Between” with Isabelle Fuhrman, period drama “Dear Eleanor,” a new adaptation of “Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn” and Stephen King adaptation “Mercy.”
