Teen Vogue: The Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party 2019 Was All About Reunions and New Friends

This wasn’t just any old Hollywood party where people show up to see and be seen. Attendees were excited to greet their friends and colleagues and it became clear that for these young actors, who are navigating Hollywood and grappling with fame, friendship is of the utmost importance.

"I just got here and I'm pretty stoked because I've gotten to see a lot of friends already," said Joey King, a member of Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood Class of 2019, while walking the red carpet with her sister, Hunter. And when she found out her Kissing Booth costar Joel Courtney had already arrived, Joey got even more excited.

"I want a picture with him on the carpet," she said. "It's kind of funny because the amount we post together on the Internet is so little compared to how much we actually see each other. When I was filming The Act in Georgia, sometimes I would FaceTime my mom or sisters and he'd just be at my house hanging out with them. He's such a good friend, he's been with me through thick and thin. I love him so much and I can't wait to get into the story [of The Kissing Booth] with him again."
