Super 8: a summer film worth seeing again

According to Arizona Central:, Super 8 will well worth seeing again (and again, and again).

Director J.J. Abrams' homage to early Steven Spielberg films (Spielberg is a producer) makes you think it's an alien movie, when in fact it's a movie about growing up, with a sincere love of filmmaking thrown in as a bonus. The kids in the film are great, especially Joel Courtney and Elle Fanning, and any Kyle Chandler appearance is a welcome one. It's funny, it's scary, it's sad, it's sweet. You know - you'll laugh, you'll cry. With so many elements in play, it's the kind of movie that all but demands repeated viewings, and it's also the kind of movie you should see on the big screen.

"The Heart of 'Super 8' is the Kids"

From the Los Vegas Examiner:

The real heart of the movie comes from the relationships of the kids', it isn't very often that you always buy every friendship between child actors' in films but I was sold on every one of them in 'Super 8'. In Particular Joel Courtney and Elle Fanning. They had me from the first time they looked each other in the eye, and I rooted for them the whole way through. Their chemistry was amazing and helped make this film a definite winner throughout.
