Why we’re excited for new Netflix movie The Kissing Booth

Betty has a great article out on why she's excited for "The Kissing Booth" movie.

We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Netflix’s original movies have been getting really good lately – Benji, anyone? The so-ridiculous-it’s-amazing A Christmas Prince? And things are continuing to go from strength to strength on the streaming service, with one upcoming original particularly capturing our attention: The Kissing Booth.

Based on the YA novel of the same name by Beth Reekles, there isn’t an official release date for The Kissing Booth yet, but we’re already VERY excited for it to drop – and here’s why…

The book it’s based on is pretty awesome – and has a teen author

Beth Reekles was just 15 when she wrote The Kissing Booth and shared it on Wattpad, garnering a record-breaking 40 million hits, and helping her land a three-book publishing deal with Random House. How inspirational is that?

Beth decided to write The Kissing Booth after looking online for something to read and not being able to find anything, because, “at that point everything was still vampires and werewolves and angels”. Ah, Twilight. On the hunt for a good old fashioned teen romance, she decided to write her own and The Kissing Booth was born. If you haven’t already devoured it, get your copy here.

Exclusive Video: Catch Up With the Cast of 'F The Prom' at Their Movie Premiere

J-14 has an exclusive on my newest movie, "F The Prom."

It's finally here! The Fine Brothers' new film, F the Prom had its Los Angeles premiere earlier this week, and the stars were shining. Danielle Campbell and more stopped by J-14 on the red carpet to give us a first-hand account of what to expect when F The Prom comes out on December 5, 2017.

Maddy, played by Danielle, is the most popular girl school. She's fated to have the hottest boyfriend and the most magical prom ever. But when her backstabbing BFF, Marissa — played by our Riverdale fave, Madelaine Petsch — threatens to take it all for herself, Maddy has to find a new crew. Reunited with her former best friend, Cole (Joel Courtney), Maddy and her new friends conspire to destroy prom. Despite all the drama on-screen, shooting F The Prom was super fun, according to Danielle Campbell. She gives all her thanks for that to the incredible cast!

"Everyone that's been cast in the movie, they have such a different personality and I think that's what makes it so special," Danielle told J-14. "Because when you see everyone together, it makes sense, but it's also the weirdest grouping of different individuals."

Get to know the hilarious cast of F The Prom in the video below!

F The Prom's super fun cast members are just like you and your group of friends. As Aidan Alexander says, "There's a character in the film that everyone can relate to."

Anyone else so excited to watch the movie and find out which F The Prom character you're most like? Whether you're like Aidan's character, Nick, who's a bit of a mean guy, or a lovable girlfriend like Diamond White's character, Star, you're bound to love F The Prom. The cast is super excited to share the project and we're pumped to watch! The premiere date can't come soon enough.
