The Kissing Booth 2: Here’s Everything We Know So Far

From The Digital Weekly:

If you haven’t seen The Kissing Booth now, what are you doing?! The initial film of Netflix is essentially the 10 Things I hate about you in 2018 and the most revised film on the 2018 streaming website! The Kissing Booth 2 will quickly be coming into the streaming platform with the wildly famous returning casters in tow on February 14, Netflix announced.

It’s Joey King, whom Ramona and Beezus and Joel Courtney can acknowledge. They’re playing BFFs Elle and Lee, who’re complete friend objectives until they’re playing for Lee’s elder sister Noah, Joey’s ex-boyfriend of the IRL, Jacob Elordi. However, if you have watched the film, I must ask a very significant question.

Joey King disclosed that while we were still expecting Netflix release dates, the film was formally wrapped up in South Africa. Joey went back into her hotel room with a selfie of herself. She pointed out that for her birthday, the cast and crew gave her some balloons and other nice gifts.

Jacob shares a very distinct view on Noah when he talks in an interview on his experiences in shooting The Kissing Booth and his fresh show Euphoria.

“There are two distinct experiences, the Kissing Booth was the first movie I ever created. It was kind of a Hollywood ticket so I was very thankful,” he said. “It is almost like remedying my mistakes a little too because the Kissing Booth personality is terrible and it is never really explained. It’s kind of idolized and created, so I think this show show show show show shows why.”

The Kissing Booth sequence isn’t too new, but it’s about to change because Netflix has just announced that two fresh characters will join the film!

Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez join the cast as Chloe and Marco, and they “are love interests, but not mutually” according to Netflix.

10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Super 8

From Screen Rant:

J.J. Abrams has had an incredible career in Hollywood, known for creating Alias, co-creating Lost, and producing dozens of movies and TV shows. Abrams has also directed two of the sequel trilogy’s Star Wars films, two Star Trek films, and the third Mission Impossible.

In 2011, he directed the only film of his career that isn’t a sequel to an ongoing franchise: Super 8. This film pays homage to Sci-Fi flicks of the ‘70s, while also telling a heartwarming tale about a group of kids with a passion for filmmaking. Super 8 came out eight years ago, but there are some things you may not know about the monster flick. Here are 10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Super 8.

Netflix Sequel Soaks up Durban Magic

From IOL News: “Netflix sequel soaks up Durban magic”

Durban - It was lights, camera, action over the past two days on Durban’s North Beach as Hollywood actors arrived for the filming of scenes for the Netflix movie Kissing Booth 2.

The set was built next to the lifeguard tower, complete with a tropical beachcomber bar.

For the night filming, the sea was brightly lit, as was a specially constructed lifeguard tower, while a bonfire blazed.

Kissing Booth is a teen rom-com which garnered a massive fan base last year and, according to Netflix, was the most re-watched movie on the streaming site for 2018.

According to the official announcement, the release date for Kissing Booth 2, which has been described as “won’t stay a love story - but a dramatic movie” has not yet been announced. Netflix yesterday confirmed the movie was in production and fans hope for a 2020 release.

Kissing Booth starred teen heart throb Jacob Elordi (of HBO’s Euphoria fame), who played bad boy Noah Flynn.

His “it’s complicated” relationship with main character Elle, played by Joey King (The Act, White House Down and The Conjuring), formed the main storyline.

In the movie, Elle’s BFF is Lee Flynn, Noah’s younger brother, played by Joel Courtney (Super 8, The Messengers), who posted a Twitter pic of himself lounging on an undisclosed beach location earlier in the week.

Yesterday, King tweeted “good morning America and good afternoon South Africa”.

The cast and crew are believed to be staying at a beachfront hotel.

Yesterday afternoon, the production team on North Beach confirmed filming was taking place for the sequel, but remained mum on just who was on the beach, with any hint of the coming storyline kept firmly under wraps.

With Kissing Booth ending with Noah leaving for college, the sequel is set to see whether the couple stay together.

eThekwini Municipality spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela said the production company had been shooting in Durban for a few weeks.

He said it had employed 300 cast and crew, along with engaging support services, including hotels, vehicle and technical equipment hire, as well as catering and construction equipment.

“These types of productions are important revenue generators and job creators for the local industry,” said Mayisela, adding that the Durban Film Office worked with an estimated 150 productions a year.

“Durban’s busiest filming season takes place from April to August and our beaches, lagoons and jungles have proven to be the most popular locations for international productions, as well as the diverse architecture in the city centre.

“Beyond the immediate economic impact of these productions filming in the city, there are additional promotional benefits for Durban which is used as a backdrop for these films. It really is the kind of advertising money can’t buy.”

Kissing Booth 2 – Release Date, Confirmed Cast, And Details

The Kissing Booth was one of the most watched movies of 2018. The Netflix original became the most rewatched movie on the streaming site in 2018. The fans had been wondering whether the movie would have a sequel. We finally have an answer to the question. The Kissing Booth has been officially confirmed by Netflix.

According to reports, the movie is currently in production and the filming for the movie will be starting soon enough. Netflix has revealed no information about the release of the movie yet. It will take some time before the movie reaches us. It is plausible that The Kissing Booth 2 will come out sometime in 2020.

The announcement video raised a few questions about the cast of the sequel. Jacob Elordi who played Noah Flynn was not a part of the video. This has raised a lot of questions about his possible involvement in the sequel. Here is the confirmed cast of The Kissing Booth 2:

  • Joey King as Elle Evans

  • Joel Courtney as Lee Flynn

  • Jacob Elordi as Noah Flynn

  • Molly Ringwald as Mrs. Flynn

  • Meganne Young as Rachel

  • Stephen Jennings as Mike Evans

  • Carson White as Brad Evans

  • Morne Visser as Mr Flynn

Other possible members include Molly Ringwald as Noah and Lee’s mother, Meganne Young as Rachel, Bianca Bosch as Olivia, Jessica Sutton as Mia and Zandile-Izandi Madliwa as Gwyneth.

It has also been confirmed that director Vince Marcello is returning. He will co-write with Jay Arnold, and he will produce with Michele Weisler, Andrew Cole-Bulgin, and Edward Glauser.

In the first movie, we saw Noah going to college and Elle was unsure if they would stay together. This makes up for an entertaining sequel. The sequel has some big boots to fill so, the staff working on the movie will have to work extra hard.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Beth Reekles. Beth enjoyed the way The Kissing Booth ended. She also revealed that it would be fun to spend more time with the characters. The fans have really high hopes from the sequel. We have to wait to see whether it is really at the same level.

Updated on 11 August 2019:

The film is already into production which is a good news indeed. We are informed that the film started filming in June 2019. Therefore, it looks like the film would release in 2020, and May 2020 would be identical to the first season which is highly possible to happen.

Moreover, we have got two new members joining the film. The new characters that are joining are Chloe and Marco, played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez respectively. So, the new characters will bring in more fun, and some more arcs to the existing intertwined lives of the characters!

Kissing Booth Won’t Stay A Love Story But A Dramatic Movie!!!!

Kissing Booth 2 has a surprise, or maybe, shock for all their fans!

Elle is best friends with Lee, played by Joel Courtney, Noah’s younger brother. Lee is hurt when he realizes that Elle and Noah are in love. However, gradually he supports both of them and helps Elle and Noah to get together. The movie ends with Noah leaving for college and Elle drives off on Noah’s motorcycle saying that she does not know if they will be together forever but a part of her heart will always belong to him.

Kissing Booth will be back with a sequel!

Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance is going to return in January 2020, with every female fans’ crush, Jacob Elordi. Fans are hoping that the sequel manages to keep the spark between the long-distance couple, Elle and Noah, alive. While the fans are waiting to see how the couple manages to face this challenge, the author, Beth Reekles has different plans.

Apparently, in the sequel, Noah is going to kiss someone else! The actress of Legends of Tomorrow, Maisie Richardson Sellers features as the cool college girl whom Noah meets at his first year at Harvard.
